Day 10 of the I Am Feeling Good Challenge - Energize with Gratitude!
We’ve come to the final day of the I Am Feeling Good challenge. It’s been 10 days of creating our own ways to uplift ourselves while being intentional about shifting our moods to feeling better than we may have felt. The tips and benefits are for everyone to get to a place, over time, where we can sustain peace in our day. It important to acknowledge that emotions can change based on a variety of things and it is up to us to tune in to ourselves to get back to the goodness within.
Active Gratitude
Today we’ll focus on the most energizing practice there is to get to happiness. It’s the practice of GRATITUDE! It truly is the one stop shop for feeling good, happy, hopeful and even joyous. This practice can be done in a moment or in a prolonged meditation.
An intentional but grounded statement of “Thank You” can put a smile on your face throughout the day and should be repeated as often as needed. Incorporating journaling as a practice daily by writing down things, scenarios, events or experiences you’re grateful for then; spending time stating why you are grateful for each item can boost your mood.
Benefits of a Gratitude Practice
Practicing gratitude on a regular basis offers a multitude of benefits that can enhance overall well-being. By consciously acknowledging and appreciating the positive aspects of one's life, individuals cultivate a mindset of abundance and contentment. Gratitude practice promotes a shift in perspective, allowing you to focus on the present moment and find joy in the small pleasures. It also fosters resilience and reduces stress by redirecting attention towards gratitude instead of dwelling on negative emotions. As a result, this intentional practice can improve mental and emotional health, promote better relationships, and cultivate a greater sense of happiness and fulfillment in life.
