Day 3 of the I Am Feeling Good Challenge - Move Your Body

On Day 3 of the I Am Feeling Good challenge we’ll honor the body. The good feeling emotions come alive with movement of the body. Anything from walking in nature on a hike to a 15 to 30 minute walk around your home will do the body great! Consistent physical activity is connected to the emotional well being of the mind.

There’s a powerful connection between emotional well-being and physical movement of the body. Engaging in regular physical activity not only benefits our physical health, but it also has a profound impact on our emotional state. Whether it be through yoga, dance, or a brisk walk, endorphins are released, triggering feelings of happiness and reducing stress. You can combat that holiday stress with a great stretch when waking up or actually stretching from your bed if you’d like.

Consider this as a reminder: physical movement helps to release built-up tension and energy, allowing us to better regulate our emotions. Moreover, exercise promotes better sleep, boosts self-esteem, and enhances overall mental clarity and focus. It is through the integration of emotional and physical well-being that we can achieve a harmonious, flexible and balanced life. So, let’s move that beautiful body the best way we can!

Checking In Before Moving the Body

If you haven’t moved much lately and find it a challenge to get started, consider checking in with yourself (see the Checking In post) to get grounded including setting intentions of what results you desire from your movement or physical activity. Also, state your reason why you want to move your body. Give yourself a pep talk. Manifest and affirm aloud, “I am feeling good!” Smile. Begin moving.

Day 3 Affirmation:

"I affirm that by nurturing my emotional well-being and engaging in regular physical activity, I am creating a harmonious balance that uplifts my mind, body, and spirit."

Quote of The Day:

"Black women have long understood the power and liberation that comes from movement of the body. Our dance, our rhythm, our sway - it is our heritage and our language. Moving our bodies allows us to break chains, defy expectations, and reclaim our space. It rejuvenates our souls, connects us to our ancestors, and empowers us to transcend societal limitations. So, let us never underestimate the transformative beauty and unyielding strength that lies within the movement of our bodies." - Author Unknown

Create a great day! I’ll post again tomorrow as we continue the challenge to wholistically feeling good.

Be well,

-Kathy
